RE: Farm Bureau Day Events –Legislative Update  

This memo announces the dates, times and locations of PFB’s regional “Farm Bureau Day” events during the month of February and March. The meetings will include our annual Legislative Update Sessions when PFB’s Specialist of State & Local Government Affairs, Lily Guthrie, and Specialist of Federal Government Affairs, Bailey Thumm, will outline PFB’ s state and national legislative agendas. These meetings are in preparation for the State Legislative Conference in Harrisburg (March 26, 2024) and for national legislative contacts to be made by County Farm Bureau Legislative Committees in district offices and PFB organized visits in Washington DC during the first half of 2024.
PFB’ s Member Relations Division and Regional Organization Directors will soon provide you a full agenda of the Farm Bureau Day event in your region. Legislative Committee members who are unable to attend Regional Farm Bureau Days should plan to attend the virtual Legislative Update Meeting being held via Zoom on the evening of March 20, 2024. More details on that to follow. Reminder, Lily and Bailey can be available at your event provided that there are 25 or more people planning to attend.

Additional Important Details

For State or National Legislative Committee Chairs, members or spokespersons:

Please contact your county Governmental Relations Director before the posted RSVP date (back side of this notice) to indicate your plans for attendance (you can attend whichever Farm Bureau Day event is most convenient for you).

For County Governmental Relations Directors: 

Please follow-up with each of your committee members and coordinate ride-sharing when possible.

Please provide the names of attendees to your Regional Organizational Director before the posted RSVP date (back side of this notice) so that final arrangements can be completed.
